The two of them

- Earned by playing. The Crucible pays them for taking part, for the podium, for a win and for each achievement.
- Tokens
- What a crate costs. Scarce on purpose, and a crate can hand one or two back.
There is no third balance. Nothing on the network is priced in anything else, and both follow you between servers rather than belonging to the one you earned them on.
Earning credits
Playing the Crucible is what pays. Every run you see through pays for taking part, the podium and the win pay on top of that rather than instead of it, and each achievement pays on its own.

Spending them
- Cosmetics from the chest in the hub
- Crates on the hub's pads, from 1 token up to 8
Credits also come back out of crates, which is most of what the cheaper ones hold.
